June 02. '02... We have been fishing offshore for the past two weeks. The temperature in the 150-200' range is 47-48.0'. There has been some steelhead action from the surface to 40' down. Lake trout have been caught on the surface also. Not much action on brown trout in the shallow waters. With the winds from the west/north west.... there has been alot of moss floating on the surface which "bugs up your swivels" on your lures. When you troll the shallow depths, 6-15' of water the smallmouth bass have been very active. They are spawning now and strike any stickbait that passes by.
In side Port Bay fishermen are enjoying perch fishing
I hope this tunes you into our region of the lake.
Hope to see you out there.
Capt. Frank
