Although the weather was cold,snowy and miserable, the trout fishing was hot!!!!!!!! Today was a limit catching day on Lake Ontario. With the shoreline temperature reading 49-50.0 and a NE breeze. The shoreline has good color and hungry brown trout were on the bite. Using stickbaits, from thundersticks, rapalas,AC Shiners. Color wasn't an issue. The only drawback today is that smallmouth bass are also on the bite. We worked from 4-15' of water and were limited before 1PM.There is also some Coho's and rainbows offshore just look for 43-45.0 water. Good Luck and keep tight lines. Capt. Frank and Chuck DeNoto |
