Well were finally having some warmer weather upstate.
The shoreline fishing for trout has been slow, and from
speaking to other captains, from Sodus Bay and Pultneyville. It's the same story. The shoreline of the lake is warmed up to 47-48.0 degrees. Using stickbaits there are a few brown trout around. Trolling offshore hasn't produced much trout or salmon yet. I caught one Coho from the surface in 150' of water. There are some Lake Trout around. The other good news is, The bait fish have started to move higher up towards the surface, which means that the fish should be arriving to feed. Also with this warm spell there are hatches of flies and moths on the surface. And everyone knows that is what Steelhead and Rainbows like to feed on!!!!!!!
One last word, remember when going fishing this weekend in Lake Ontario, Take along the wife and kids!!!!!.
