Well Port Bay is still closed off from Lake Ontario,
until the 1st of April. The contract to keep Port Bay
open to the lake is April 1- October 31st. There is perch fishing in Port Bay, from shore and by fishing from your boat. The state of New York has finished the
road to the state launch at the end of West Port Bay RD
Now for the important news, the brown trout are starting to move around. Capt. Joe Canizzio spent Saturday morning casting stick baits from the pier at
Port Bay, he landed two brown trout in 15 minutes time.
So get your tackle boxes out, sharpen your hooks and start working the mouths of any tributary that feed into Lake Ontario !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember to bring the family along, teach the kids to enjoy the outdoors.
