I was recently fishing right out of the salmon river probably 100 yards out from the inlet to the lake. It was still a little too hot for salmon, but drifting nightcrawlers in 12-20 feet of water was where it was at. I hooked into at least 20 fish, and landed at least 10 over 3 pounds, 3 over 5 pounds, and one beast at six and a half pounds. Anchor near the rocks of the inlet, and don't be dumb like me and use ultra-lights with 4 pound test! |
