Well the ice didn't leave Port Bay until Sunday April 7th, but we are catching brown trout,coho salmon, steelhead, and smallmouth bass. we have good color along the shoreline. between Port Bay, Fair Haven, and Sodus Bay. the only bait that I found in the fish are stickle backs. the alwives haven't moved into our area yet. I did spend two hours fishing offshore, and found some steelheads and lake trout there. the shore temperature is 39-45.0 the fish seem to be hitting on smaller size baits, but no spoon action yet. well go out and enjoy the Great Lake Ontario!!!!! and don't forget to take the ladies and kids along, create some great memories.
